Support The Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Effort
- The Stuffed Tauntaun Toy now has a radial option to "speak." Use it and the toy will thank you for helping.
- The last day you can purchase this toy to contribute to the effort is Friday. The sale ends on April 1st at 11:59 PM PDT.
- Thanks everyone for helping out.
April Fool's
- Something else has gone terribly wrong in Dr. Fool's shop. Log in on April Fool's Day to find out what.
Armor
- Deconstructing armor should now only bio-link the schematic to the player deconstructing the armor if the armor is already bio-linked or if the armor is flagged as no trade.
- If the armor is flagged as no-trade remove, deconstructing the armor should add a bio-link to the schematic, but set the bio-link to 'pending'. This means that the armor piece can be deconstructed and traded. The armor will still need to be bio-linked in order for the player to equip the armor piece.
Collections
- Players who have already completed the Hidden Dagger collection without getting the badge should now receive the badge retroactively.
- Completing the Dwartii Statue Crafting Quota and the Framed Beetle Specimen Crafting Quota will now grant the associated badges. For players who already completed the collections, the badges will be granted retroactively.
Entertainer
- You can now call droids while performing.
Jedi
- Changed the Jedi Healing ability to use the original sound effect.
Guild
- Added Minimum Lifetime PvP Kills, Minimum Current GCW Rebel Rank, Minimum Current GCW Imperial Rank, Minimum Highest GCW Rebel Rank, and Minimum Highest GCW Imperial Rank to the guild recruiting information, which will also be publicly displayed via the List Of Guilds window.
- Guild Membership Request mail will not be sent if the requester's information would violate any of these guild recruiting information settings.
- The Minimum Current GCW Rebel Rank, Minimum Current GCW Imperial Rank, Minimum Highest GCW Rebel Rank, and Minimum Highest GCW Imperial Rank requirements only apply if the requester belongs to the corresponding faction. For example, a Neutral requester would not need to satisfy any of the Minimum Current GCW Rebel Rank, Minimum Current GCW Imperial Rank, Minimum Highest GCW Rebel Rank, and Minimum Highest GCW Imperial Rank requirements in order to send the Guild Membership Request mail. A Rebel requester would only need to satisfy the Minimum Current GCW Rebel Rank and Minimum Highest GCW Rebel Rank requirements. An Imperial requester would only need to satisfy the Minimum Current GCW Imperial Rank and Minimum Highest GCW Imperial Rank requirements.
- The requester's lifetime PvP kills, current GCW rank, and highest GCW rank is now included in the Guild Membership Request mail.
- Multiple guild recruiting information windows can now be displayed simultaneously, to allow easier side-by-side comparison of multiple prospective guilds. HINT: Because the List Of Guilds window can take a few seconds to display, especially if there are a lot of guilds in the list, display the List Of Guilds window once for browsing, and then use the /guildRecruitingInfo slash command to display the guild recruiting information windows for the guilds that you are interested in.

- The guild leader can now set the guild recruiting information/requirement. This information, along with other guild data (name, abbreviation, faction, members count, % regular - 30 days login, % active - 90 days login, guilds currently at war with), will be publicly available for everyone to see via the List Of Guilds window. Star Wars Galaxies: Hotfix 19.11 -- Thursday, March 17, 2011 (US Pacific)
Ewok Festival of Love Paintings Challenge
- The paintings from the Ewok Festival of Love Captivating Caption Challenge are now in-game!
- Opening the Challenge Painting Container will let you select one of the five paintings from the Ewok Festival of Love Paintings Challenge.
Guild
- A GuildWar channel has been added to receive guild war kill notification for guild wars your guild is currently involved in.
- In addition to the existing /guildnotify slash command, you can now also toggle your guild login status notification by selecting yourself from the guild Permission List window.
- The guild war Exemption/Exclusive permissions have been split into separate ground and space guild war Exemption/Exclusive permissions.
- HINT/REMINDER: Use the Exclusive permission if there are only a few guild members you want to participate in guild wars. Just flag those guild members with the Exclusive permission. If any guild member is flagged with the Exclusive permission, all other guild members will be automatically exempt from guild wars (regardless of their Exemption permission status), unless they are also flagged with the Exclusive permission. This is more efficient than having to flag everyone with the Exemption permission. Conversely, if you want most of the guild members to participate in guild wars, with the exception of a few, then use the Exemption permission. Flag those few members with the Exemption permission and everyone will be included in guild wars except for those flagged with the Exemption permission. This is more efficient than having to flag everyone with the Exclusive permission. Remember, Exclusive supersedes Exemption, so a guild member with both the Exclusive and Exemption permissions will always be included in guild wars. If someone in the guild with Set Permissions permission is making you Exclusive (or removing your Exemption status) against your wishes, because you have unilaterally given yourself the Exemption permission, perhaps it's time to consider a new guild, or a new guild leader.
- The mechanism for ending a guild war has been changed. The following are the new methods that guild X can use to end a guild war with guild Y.
- Guild X disbands. The guild war will be immediately terminated, and the newly added Status column in the Ended Guild Wars window will display "X disbanded".
- Guild X surrenders, by selecting the guild war from the Guild Enemies window, and then selecting Surrender. The guild war will be immediately terminated, and the newly added Status column in the Ended Guild Wars window will display "X surrendered".
- Guild X offers truce, by selecting the guild war from the Guild Enemies window, and then selecting Truce. The Guild Enemies window will display that X has offered truce, and the newly added Status column in the Active Guild Wars window will display "X offered truce". Once a truce has been offered, it cannot be withdrawn.
- If guild Y accepts the offered truce, by selecting the guild war from the Guild Enemies window, and then selecting Yes to confirm acceptance of the offered truce, the guild war will be immediately terminated, and the newly added Status column in the Ended Guild Wars window will display "X offered truce - accepted".
- If guild Y doesn't accept the offered truce, after 7 days have elapsed (during which time, the guild war will still be on), on the next galaxy restart, the guild war will be terminated, and the newly added Status column in the Ended Guild Wars window will display "X offered truce - expired".
- Notifications of guild disband, surrender, truce offer, and truce acceptance will be sent to the GuildWar channel of members of the 2 guilds involved.
Star Wars Galaxies: Hotfix 19.10 -- Thursday, March 10, 2011 (US Pacific)
On Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 4:00 AM PST all U.S. and European galaxies will be brought down for server maintenance and a Hotfix. The servers are estimated to be down for 4 hours. If this timeframe changes, we'll post an update on the official forums.
When the Hotfix is complete, all galaxies will be live but unavailable while we complete final testing. All galaxies will be made available after that time.

Highlights
- We've added additional ways for guilds to PvP (both inter-guild and intra-guild).
Ewok Festival of Love
- The Ewok Festival of Love has come to an end.
- The Storyteller Vendor has returned to its human appearance.
Guild
- Any guild member can now remove herself from any rank she is currently in by selecting herself from the Rank List window.
- A 'Add/Remove Members' button has been added to the Rank Summary window for guild members with the Set Rank guild permission. This provides a possibly quicker and more efficient alternative to adding/removing guild members to/from a guild rank.
Guild: Intra-Guild Squad PvP
- Guild members belonging to any of the 4 squad guild ranks (Guild Squad A, Guild Squad B, Guild Squad C, and Guild Squad D) can now PvP other guild members belonging to another squad. This can be useful for practicing group PvP tactics, settling/creating intra-guild drama/disputes, guild RP/events/tournaments, etc.
- Access the Intra-Guild Squad PvP UI from the Remote Player Association Access Device in the Datapad, or by /guildSquadPvp.
- From the Intra-Guild Squad PvP UI, guild members with the Set Rank guild permission can toggle the PvP status of the 6 possible guild squad PvP types (A vs B, A vs C, A vs D, B vs C, B vs D, and C vs D), specify whether to track score/kill counts for each squad PvP type, and reset the score/kill counts for each squad PvP type.
- A guild member can be in multiple squads, and multiple guild squad PvP types can be enabled simultaneously, creating "interesting" alliances/scenarios.
- If you are on a squad that is part of an enabled squad PvP type, after you clone, you will incur a 1 minute guild squad PvP "cool down" period during which you cannot engage in guild squad PvP combat (attack or be attacked). This rule affects guild squad PvP only. All other PvP rules are still in effect.
Guild / Pilots
- Guild war PvP between ships has been added, including the guild war excluded and guild war exclusive rules, the 1 minute guild war cooldown after cloning or ejecting, and the guild war kill count tracking.
- Intra-guild squad PvP between ships has been added, including the 1 minute guild squad PvP cooldown after cloning or ejecting, and the guild squad PvP kill count tracking.
- For POB ships, the guild war and guild squad PvP rules will apply regardless of who is actually in the pilot chair, even if the pilot chair is empty or someone else (besides the guild war/guild squad PvP guild member who owns the ship) is in the pilot chair. It is the ship's owner, and ONLY the ship's owner, regardless of where on the ship the ship's owner happens to be, that will affect how the ship will be involved under the guild war and guild squad PvP rules.
GCW
- 1 travel point will be given to the 6th - 10th place GCW leaderboard guilds and cities if that faction is winning the galaxy (galaxy GCW score for that faction is >= 51%).
- 1 additional travel point will given to the 1st - 5th place GCW leaderboard guilds and cities if that faction is winning the galaxy by at least 70% (galaxy GCW score for that faction is >= 70%). So 3 total for 1st and 2nd, and 2 total for 3rd - 5th if that faction is winning the galaxy by at least 70%.
- The GCW leaderboard windows for Previous Week and 2 Weeks Ago will now display the 6th - 10th place guilds and cities.
- The 6th - 10th place perk and display is not retroactive. It will first start occurring at the first end of the leaderboard period (the first Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT) after the update.
- Remember, guild/city travel point update occurs at galaxy restart and at the end of the leaderboard period every Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT, so when the galaxy GCW score reaches (or falls below) the threshold for the perk, the perk will get applied (or removed) at the next guild/city travel point update.

If multiple record fish have the same length, the most recently caught one will win. 7 travel point perks are available, 1 for each fish type. This perk will be removed when the angler no longer holds the largest current record fish for the particular fish type. Guild/City travel point update occurs at galaxy restart and at the end of the leaderboard period every Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT, so the perk will not be applied immediately when the angler catches the largest record fish for the particular fish type, but will be applied at the next guild/city travel point update, if the angler still holds the largest current record fish for the particular fish type at that time. If the angler leaves/joins a guild/city, the perk will be removed/applied at the next guild/city travel point update. The perk will not transfer with the angler with CTS. The angler must hold the largest current record fish for the particular fish type on the destination galaxy in order to receive the perk.

Highlights
- Ewok Festival of Love - The Ewok Festival of Love returns to Star Wars Galaxies February 10th to March 10th.
- Known for their ritualistic behavior, Ewoks celebrate their beliefs and practices through several festivals throughout the year. The Festival of Love is an event celebrated once a year to honor the kinship and love between tribe members. - Elusive Fish - Elusive Fish are rare fish that are hard to catch! There are only 70 ELUSIVE fish (one for each of the 70 non-collection fish types) for each galaxy. To view the ELUSIVE fish list, use any fishing pole. For each time that the very lucky angler appears on the ELUSIVE fish list, as long as the angler has logged in within the past 90 days, one travel point will be granted to the angler's current guild and city for each time that the angler appears on the ELUSIVE fish list. This is a permanent perk.
STAR WARS GALAXIES: GALACTIC LEADERS - GAME UPDATE 17.9
Fishing
- General

- The Fishing Leaderboard scoring period is weekly and starts/ends every Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT (same time as the GCW rank and Leaderboard update). At the end of the period, the winners are determined and the list (along with all the scores) is reset to start a new period.
- Fishing leaderboard tracking will start Thursday September 30 2010 at 19:00:00 GMT / 12:00:00 PDT, and the first set of winners will be determined the following Thursday October 7 2010 at 19:00:00 GMT / 12:00:00 PDT.
- The total length of the best 10 non-collection fish caught during the Fishing Leaderboard period are used to determine the angler's Fishing Leaderboard score.
- The total length of the best 25 non-collection fish caught during the Fishing Leaderboard period by the members/citizens of the guild/city are used to determine the guild/city Fishing Leaderboard score.
- An angler that has just joined a guild/city will not contribute to the guild/city Fishing Leaderboard for her guild/city for the current period. She will start contributing to her guild/city Fishing Leaderboard at the start of the next Fishing Leaderboard period.
- Whenever the angler/guild/city position on the Fishing Leaderboard for the current period changes, a message is sent to the chat/guildchat/citychat window for the angler/all guild members/all citizens notifying of the position change for the angler/guild/city.
- In-game mail is sent to the anglers/guild leaders/mayors of the winners when a Fishing Leaderboard period ends, and the winners for the angler/guild/city Leaderboards are determined.
- Use any fishing pole to view the Fishing Leaderboard.
- The Fishing Leaderboard section in the Hobbies tab of the Collections window displays the count of how many times the angler has made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list.
- The Fishing Leaderboard section in the Badges tab of the Collections window displays badges the angler has earned from the Fishing Leaderboard. Badges are granted for winning 1st place, and for making the Fishing Leaderboard winners list 1 time, 5 times, 10 times, 15 times... etc.
- The Fishing Leaderboard section in the Hobbies tab of the Collections window displays the count of how many times the angler was a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list.
- The Fishing Leaderboard section in the Badges tab of the Collections window displays badges the angler has earned for being a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list. Badges are granted for being a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that won 1st place, and for being a guild member/citizen 1 time, 5 times, 10 times, 15 times... etc. of a guild/city that made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list.
- The angler must have been eligible to contribute to the guild/city Fishing Leaderboard score (i.e. did not just recently join the guild/city) for the period for which the guild/city made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list. They must have also caught a non-collection fish during the period (even if that non-collection fish does not end up contributing to the guild/city winning score), in order to qualify to receive credit for being a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that made the Fishing Leaderboard winners list.
- The guilds and cities in the most recent winners list will be given access to 1 guild/city travel point.
- The guild/city travel point privilege is revoked if the guild/city does not make the next winners list. To reiterate, the guild/city travel point privilege is only available to the guilds and cities in the most recent winners list.
- Fishing Record
- For each galaxy, best length fish is tracked for each of the 70 non-collection fish (7 fish types x 10 planets).
- The angler who catches a non-collection fish whose length is greater than or equal to the current record will become the new record holder.
- Personal best is also tracked for each angler for each of the 70 non-collection fish.
- Use any fishing pole to view the galaxy best, the angler's personal best, and the personal best of another targeted angler.
- A record fish will be renamed to designate it as a record fish, and its Examine window will contain additional record fish information.
- A "Record Data" radial menu is available on any non-collection fish that will display the galaxy best and the angler's personal best information for that particular fish type.
- Titles (70 available) are granted to the current record holder. When there is a new record holder, the title will be removed from the current record holder and granted to the new record holder.
- Badges (70 available) are granted for catching a record fish.
- Badges are granted for catching 1, 5, 10, 15..., 100 record fish.
- A collection under the Fishing Record section in the Hobbies tab of the Collections window displays the count of record fish caught by the angler.
- 7 collections (1 for each fish type), with server first and a badge as reward, under the Fishing Record section in the Hobbies tab of the Collections window are available for catching a record fish of the particular type on all 10 planets.
- 10 collections (1 for each planet), with server first and a badge as reward, under the Fishing Record section in the Hobbies tab of the Collections window are available for catching a record fish for all the 7 types on the particular planet.
- All 70 fishing records are currently held by various NPCs. The current record length and which NPC currently holds which record are different for each galaxy.
- These NPCs are actually quite avid anglers who have recently come out of the closet to reveal their ...errr...ummm... ichthyologic tendencies, so it will take some effort to best their records.
- The angler that becomes the new record holder will get a Comm Message from the NPC who originally held that particular record, who will have a thing or two to say to the new record holder.
- There are more NPCs than the 70 available fishing records, so some NPCs will not be record holders on some galaxies. So if Darth Vader is not a record holder on your galaxy, you'll just have to go fishing on a galaxy where Vader is a record holder if you want to receive a Comm Message from the angling Dark Lord.
- The ELUSIVE Fish
- Tales abound of the one that always manages to get away. Are there any truths to these stories, or are they just overactive imagination after too many rounds of Valarian Brandy?
- There are only 70 ELUSIVE fish (one for each of the 70 non-collection fish types) for each galaxy. The odds of successfully landing an ELUSIVE fish are much, much, much greater than that of successfully navigating an asteroid field, even if Han doesn't want to hear it.
- Use any fishing pole to view the ELUSIVE fish list.
- An ELUSIVE fish will be renamed to designate it as an ELUSIVE fish. For example, “a faa” may be changed to “the ELUSIVE Tatooine faa”.
- Badges (70 available) are granted for catching an ELUSIVE fish.
- The Dev Team reserves the right to revisit the "only 70 ELUSIVE fish per galaxy" rule once any galaxy has caught all its 70 ELUSIVE fish. Good luck with such an elusive feat/challenge/accomplishment though.
- For each time that the (very lucky) angler appears on the ELUSIVE fish list, as long as the angler has logged in within the past 90 days, one travel point will be granted to the angler's current guild and city for each time that the angler appears on the ELUSIVE fish list. This is a permanent perk. Guild/City travel point update occurs at galaxy restart and at the end of the Leaderboard period every Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT, so the perk will not be applied immediately when the angler catches an ELUSIVE fish, but will be applied at the next guild/city travel point update. If the angler leaves/joins a guild/city, the perk will be removed/applied at the next guild/city travel point update. The perk will not transfer with the angler with CTS. The angler must get on the ELUSIVE fish list of the destination galaxy in order to receive the perk.
